Setting up a secondary MRP plan to handle specific customers is a reasonable extension of a master plan for business. However, a master plan should be able to be viewed through the eyes of BI filter. We need planning optimization/D365 to work appropriately and have the option to grab future demand for specific customer groups. We shouldn’t have to do this through reporting. We should have the ability to view the customer groups off the MRP. The ask – pull in component demand specific to customer group demand.

Thank you very much for providing this Idea. We understand that this is a request not for supply planing per se (as an supply planing must take into account across customer demand). It is to get insight into the independent and dependent demand related to a specific customer or group of customers, not how the demand is fullfilled. The customer demand can originate from forecast aswell as actual orders. We do not have any plans to extend our current capabilities to cover your idea, we will however monitor how much in demand your requesteed capability is.
