***Business scenario:

-Set up 'Allow penny difference' in bank account master.

-Set up Account for a specific Bank transaction type. Ex: BankTransType Charge -- account 800400

-Posts GL journal with gross amount (GST inclusive) under single voucher:

Dr Bank account $40.66

Cr Expense account $40.66 (gross) -- Tax 10% ($3.7)

>>>Voucher transactions:

Dr Bank account Dr Bank account $40.66

Cr Expense account $36.96

Cr Tax account $3.7

-Import/Create the bank statement, line amount $28.8 > Confirm

-Reconcile the statement in worksheet: Select the bank statement line and bank transaction line > Match transaction manually or run matching rule type 'Match document'.

-Mark as reconcile: Noted that correction amount = 11.86

-Go to Bank account > Bank transactions > select the bank transaction which is reconciled > Voucher

--> Actual behavior: Correction amount 11.86 is fully posted to the account 800400 set up in Bank transaction types form.

-->Expected behavior: There should have a setup that allows recognizing partial correction amount (3.7) in GST account with posting type 'Bank', and the remaining amount posting to the designed account 800400 linking with equivalent bank transaction type.

We have checked and it appears that the current design of Modern Bank reconciliation seems not support the distributed-template for auto-posting the correction amount. The Product team also confirmed that this kind of function is not available yet.

***Business impact: Based on the matching rule, the system automatically posts a 100% correction without separating the GST portion. We would like the GST portion to be posted to the GST account, as we need to claim it from the ATO. We have a large volume of transactions, which is why we use a matching rule. Currently, at the end of each month, we manually post a general journal to correct the GST portion.
