We are aware that, for cloud hosted environments such as Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, as part of the Azure SQL DB, the DB Backup is snapshot based and provides for a PITR through LCS.

However, the Customer and their respective Auditors are also looking for a mail alert/notification which indicates the Success/failure of backup on a regular basis

If that can be made configurable for a particular project and Environment via LCS
