It's not currently possible to 'Edit in Excel' 'Open in Excel, or copy and paste to physical inventory or whse physical inventory journals, or to item reclass journals.

It would be good to get all the functionality that is given on a general journal to the other types of journals.
In particular, physical inventory journals can be huge, and so editing in excel would be a huge bonus.

Thank you for your valuable feedback. We have delivered some (but not necessarily all) of this idea and made it available with Business Central in 2021 release wave 2, but you can enable this feature as early as Update 18.3. The Open in Excel action is now universally available on all lists.

Learn more about what's new and planned for working with Excel in the release plan here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365-release-plan/2021wave2/smb/dynamics365-business-central/enhancements-working-excel

Good day

Do you have an update as to when the edit in excel functionality will be added to Business Central? This is truly a need as our stock counts are taking hours to enter whereby the edit in excel functionality will eliminate this and will save a lot of time. Our inventory is over 15 000 lines and we also have multiple locations. Please could you indicate as to when this will be added.

My vote would be to make this feature available in ALL journals. Seems so strange to have it available in some, not all. For example it's in the Item Journal but not the Physical Inventory Journal. Odd. Let's just make it available across the board so we don't have to scratch our heads and wonder if we're going crazy or if it's truly just not there. :) Thank you everyone for your hard work!!

I was really looking forward to the edit in excel for the physical inventory journal. I have 26+ locations reporting physical counts and we currently have to key them by hand since there is no edit in excel option. This feature would save countless hours of data entry and eliminate the keying errors.
