Currently, the configuration of columns that are indexed and referenceable within Dataverse Search are configured through the Quick Find View columns for the entity (see https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/configure-relevance-search-organization#select-searchable-fields-and-filters-for-each-table).

Given that Quick Find Views already govern other the indexing of other search controls (ie. searching through the home grid or via the Web API), please give System Administrators the agency to decide whether a column in the Quick Find View applies to Dataverse Search or not. Alternatively, govern Dataverse Search column configuration outside of the Quick Find View.

The agency to configure the indexing of columns for non-Dataverse Searches shouldn't have to be coupled with Dataverse Search idiosyncrasies (ie. inflated Database usage; see https://experience.dynamics.com/ideas/idea/?ideaid=c373bae8-e26f-eb11-8fed-0003ff45e089 and https://experience.dynamics.com/ideas/idea/?ideaid=69e0ed7d-272c-ec11-b76a-0003ff45e08b)
