Problem

We are encountering an issue while generating the Inventory Value report: some items appear with a blank warehouse, leading to inaccurate totals and misleading valuation results.

Impact

1. Incorrect inventory valuation at warehouse level.
2. Reconciliation challenges between inventory reports and financial postings.
3. Time lost investigating which transactions lack warehouse assignment.

Proposal

1. Add a report parameter: “Exclude records with blank warehouse”.
2. Add a validation option: “Require warehouse for inventory value calculations” (warns when warehouse is missing).
3. Provide a diagnostics section listing items/transactions included in the report that lack warehouse, with links to originating documents.
4. Ensure the report respects inventory dimension settings (site/warehouse) and defaults defined at item or posting setup.
