In the Notes report generation - The Excel data export has automatically inserts the HTML tags in the Description Field – making the text unreadable.

Microsoft support engineers says its an inherent issue and cannot be resolved even after discussion with the product team. The solution is to "clean" the exported data by Search & replace in the Excel file.

If the Excel Export function as a standard feature (and not a customise feature), then I would expect the output file is readable in Excel format, and not having to go through extra steps in cleaning the exported data.
