Based on this list of suggestions for New Ideas and general community input/evangelism, there appears to be a lot of enhance opportunity for the GP user experience. At the same time, competing interests in the channel seem to be sending mixed messages related to the GP roadmap. With the volume of changes requested here and what I can only imagine are already underway internally, can you simply announce a GP2019 release? Other than extending the supportability lifecycle another year, such a small gesture would send customers, prospects, and Partners the message we all clamor for. Assuming Developement bandwidth will preclude many of these ideas from coming to fruition in the GP2019 release, why not go ahead and announce GP2021 as well?

Thank you for your feedback.

In October 2019, we announced the move for Microsoft Dynamics GP to the modern lifecycle. We won't have version changes going forward, instead, we will have periodic releases.

Sincerely,

Theresa Nistler,

Microsoft.

It's easy to SEE that GP 2020 would highlight how FOCUSED the product is, CLARIFY the VISION for GP, and make it CRYSTAL CLEAR that GP is the best ERP for SMB... so why not GP 20/20 ... GP2020!!! (end of cheesy references... for now, but hey, MSFT marketing team... you are welcome... now let's get it done!) -- additional puns welcome :) #GP2020

GP 2020! Love the roadmap for 2021 idea. I get this question every day. "Is GP not supported anymore?" "I've heard it's dead."

In addition to a new release, it would be great if they would update the GP documentation and help files. That just seems to me to be a part of what the clients are paying for with their enhancement plan. Blogs are very difficult to use for researching how to use GP. The fact that Great Plains and then Microsoft provided such good documentation and training was what made it a superior ERP system.

YES to GP 2020!

With 50,000 customers paying the Annual Enhancement Plan this year it seems to me that Microsoft would be morally, if not legally, bound to release the enhancement the customers paid for.

I could not agree more! I also like the idea of calling it GP2020.
