Apparently it is by design of Adxstudio Portals / Dynamics Portals / Power Apps Portals that:

"If EntityList has ViewDetails and Edit item action configured then the hyperlink will work similarly to the edit button. And if there is only the ViewDetails button configured then it will work as a ViewDetails item action.".

However the default clickable column will now go to the Edit page instead of the View page.

We can debate if this is good or it could be different --> this idea is to let a Citizen Developer configure the default clickable column action.
