A copy from a post of Inna Carp. I think there are many countries in the world, including The Netherlands, where system language is en-us with different date & time format. In my eyes this really needs to be supported. A lot of revenue for Microsoft is also coming from non US companies.

"I know that the only way to get this validation to work is to set exactly the same "Language" and "Date, time, number format" in User Options in F&O.

However, in large enterprises, system language and project language is often English, but date, time, number format is European, for example German (de). In most European countries, users are used to other number format than in the English-speaking countries."
