As described in a blog entry I wrote http://www.altriva.com/AltrivaBlog/PostID/26.aspx a user must have read access on queues in order to reassign an activity to another user. Otherwise, they recieve an error stating "The logged-on user does not have the appropriate security permissions to view these records or perform the specific action". This is even true if a user wants to reassign to users.

If queues are not used, it's useful to hide them by removing all rights to the queue entity in their user role.

My suggestion would be:
Either make the error more detailed to instruct to user to elevate their read permissions on queues (even if they're not used)
Or allow users to reassign activities to other users without needing rights to view queues.

Best,
Phil

Thank you for your suggestion. I understand that behavior is confusing for the users who are not using the queues. This functionality is planned to be delivered in the next major release of CRM. This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.
