Data Synchronization:



  1. Synchronize the Note field between D365 and MS Project.


    1. Business Reason: Data in custom columns gets discarded other than the standard columns that are already baked into Dynamics 365. We use these fields for notes when sharing inter-agency and client-facing timelines.


  2. Need ability to track % complete in D365


    1. Business Reason: Factors into Cost Management report data

    2. Since WBS versioning is not allowed, modifying the WBS always affects the baseline. So not able to use this for % completion tracking.


  3. Rates (Cost and Sales prices) are not supported in sync between D365 Operations and MS Project

  4. The Notes column in MS Projects needs to sync with the Notes column in D365 for additional data tracking.


5.  Potentially make the column control extensible, which would allow you to add custom fields to the integration between D365 Operations and MS Projects.
