Repro in USMF

Installed product version: 10.0.33 (10.0.1549.38)

Installed platform version: Update57 (7.0.6861.30)

We found a bug / issue in standard environment.

Unable to attach file to journal header from Global general journal page

Repro steps:

1.         Find a legal entity (e.g. SAMF in demodata) where Attachments page hasn't been opened yet (DocuType table is empty), or create a new legal entity

2.         Switch to USMF legal entity

3.         Go to General ledger > Journal entries > Global general journal

4.         Click New journal

5.         Set Company = SAMF and Name = GenJrn

6.         Click OK

7.         Select newly created journal and click Attachments icon

8.         Attachments for Ledger journal table page is opened

9.         Click New > File

Actual result: Nothing happened, and a user can't attach a file to journal header

Expected result: Upload document dialog is opened, and a user can attach the file

First of all we need to be in USMF legal entity.

Go to General ledger > Journal entries > Global general journal

Click New journal

Set Company = SAMF and Name = GenJrn

Click OK

Select newly created journal and click Attachments icon

Attachments for Ledger journal table page is opened

Click New > File

Actual result: Nothing happened, and a user can't attach a file to journal header

Expected result: Upload document dialog is opened, and a user can attach the file

"We are resolving this as Won't fix, due to it not meeting our current bug bar for fixing. As a workaround, please change companies to the problematic company. Open the attachments form from within the global journal's problematic company. Switch back to your original company and then you should be able to access the attachments form without issues."

the above was the resolution provided to the customer but did not solve the issue.
