At AX 2012 Russia localization, there is settlement periodic task at the Account receivable and Account payable modules. The task could be used if you don’t won’t to use automatic settlement in general, but you need to settle some specific customers/vendors, or customer/vendor group. It would be nice to make the feature available to all legal entities at D365, not only the Russian one.
