User accounts have no problem sending email remittances using 64-bit Office and EWS in GP. However, using a shared mailbox, no emails send and no errors populate. To workaround this customer needed to use 32-bit Office and MAPI with shared mailbox.

When will this feature be made available in GP2018? Need the ability to use a shared email address to send invoices and statements for Debtors and and a different shared email address for Purchases Remittances.

Agreed this functionality is necessary when accessing emails for payments. Please add functionality!

We desperately need this functionality. We use shared mailboxes. The lack if this functionality is hindering our efficiency and ability to share information and collaborate with coworkers. Extra steps are required to move emails around. I am now getting replies to emails I have sent out that I do not want to run through my own work emails. Thank you for your serious consideration.

Here is a suggested workaround option that customers can do, the customer may be able to use a licensed account in O365 such as AccountsPayable@yourtenant.com to send the emails. A licensed account will be able to log in just as a regular user. Even a lower license that allows logging into O365 online will work. When prompted to enter the email address and user use the accountspayable@yourtenant.com username and password. Just remember that once you do an email activity for the rest of that GP session you will be using that email address. To switch you will have to exit GP and log into GP and then the other email you want to send from.

Any movement on this? Is there a workaround for using a shared email? We desperately need this functionality. I believe most companies who mail out statements, invoices, etc., would benefit from this.

Need to enable emailing via shared mailbox for Modern Authentication by October 1st, 2022. Many clients use the same common mailbox to send customer or vendor facing notifications for shared workload distribution. We cannot expect clients to have individual users send the customer and vendor notifications and not being able to share the replies and collaborate.

Yes, would love to have support to specify a from address when sending via the Graph API as well. The documentation for the graph side of things is available here - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/graph/outlook-send-mail-from-other-userThe reason sending as a shared mailbox is important to us is that if users reply to the email we want those replies to come to a central shared mailbox, that way they can be actioned by anyone in our accounts team.
