Extend the Timeline control to provide the ability to customise what is displayed when an activity is added to the time line. For Example when adding a Note; we can choose to display the Note Owner or Not, Display the Modified By User or Not, Display the Title or Not, Date of Note Creation or Not etc. This flexibility will help tremendously in providing users with the functionality and customisations they require to help become more effective in their job roles.
