  1. When purchasing goods to a Job (via Purchase Order with Job No filled in), in the inventory is immediately consumed (for understandable reasons) but often clients buy goods, keep them in their warehouse until ready, and then need to pick them. The auto consumption causes two issues:
  2. Inability to pick the goods
  3. Inventory value does not show on hand even though it is physically on hand.


Users should be able to associate a PO to a Job, but flag that they want the inventory to remain in inventory until sold/picked.

In order to have the materials at hand when you are at a certain step in your project, you order them in time.Just in time is tricky.You want to know where the materials are stored and want to pick them.Makes the process for stock based on projects and stock based on sales orders more identical for the users.Would be great to have this in place.

Currently we also face this issue and it sounds a normal business scenario that inventory is received and put away on a project. Then reservation entries should be able to connect to the project/task
