The pairing key of CPOS and hardware station expires after a given number of days. Standard this is set to 180 days and the maximum value is 1000 days. When the key expires the users must select the hardware station again before they can work with CPOS again. If there is no specific need to use this expiration period, you should be able to disable this. This would result in less phone calls or tickets for the it support team.

We've just got outage in weekend because of this configuration. Can MS provide a solution for this. Configuration change in HQ, or additional parameter while installing HWS to adjust it, or by default use 365 days instead of 180 if using this only with inactive POS not possible.

May be this should be combined and solved with that one: Microsoft Idea (dynamics.com)?

There should be an automatic refresh/renewal of these keys, were the frequency is configurable. And the configuration should be done in the hardwareprofile in HQ.
