Our customers have issues with huge values in the inventory transactions, which are caused by the inventory recalculation, if a circular reference has occurred, Here is an example, how such areference can be created: CEE/Product information management/Common/Products/All products and product masters - Create a new item "Test BOM 1" - Create a new item "Test BOM 2" - Create a new item "Test BOM 3" - Release the 3 products to company "CEE" CEE/Product information management/Common/Released products - Edit the newly released products: - Ensure that the production type is "BOM" - Set the "Storage dimension group" to "PG_1" - Set the "Tracking dimension group" to "Con-Dim" - set the "Item model group" to "WA" - set the "Item group" to "Enclosures" - on item "Test BOM 1", set "Price" to 10 - on item "Test BOM 2", set "Price" to 20 - on item "Test BOM 3", set "Price" to 30 CEE/Accounts payable/Common/Purchase orders/All purchase orders - create a new purchase order for items "Test BOM 1", price 10, and "Test BOM 2", price 20 - confirm the purchase order - create the product receipt for this purchase order CEE/Inventory and warehouse management/Journals/Item transactions/Bill of materials - create a bill of materials journal, in which you create an item "Test BOM 3" from 1 item "Test BOM 1" and 1 item "Test BOM 2" - post the journal CEE/Inventory and warehouse management/Journals/Item transactions/Transfer - create a transfer journal, in which you move item "Test item 3" from the current inventory location to another inventory location - post the journal CEE/Inventory and warehouse management/Journals/Item transactions/Bill of materials - create a bill of materials journal on the new inventory location, in which you create an item "Test BOM 1" from 1 item "Test BOM 3" - post the journal CEE/Inventory and warehouse management/Journals/Item transactions/Transfer - create a transfer journal, in which you move item "Test item 1" from the new inventory location to the first inventory location - post the journal CEE/Inventory and warehouse management/Periodic/Closing and adjustment: - perform a recalculation on the current date. - set "Maximum throughputs" to "100" and "Minimum throughput adjustment" to "1.00" - restrict the recalculation to the items "Test BOM 1" to "Test BOM 3" Result: - AX posts an adjustment of 500 respectively 520 on item "Test BOM 1" - AX posts an adjustment of 520 on item "Test BOM 3" Expected result: - AX has to realize, that there is a circular reference. - AX must not post any adjustment, if there is a circular reference.
