It is currently not possible to successfully add a field to a form when editing from the PowerApps Solutions page.

This is possible from your own Dynamics production/sandbox instance home page, by clicking on the triple dots against an app and selecting 'Open in App Designer'.

It would provide a more consistent user experience if it was possible to do this via either method.
