Say I have a main sales territory called EUROPE, and its manager is John Doe.
Below Europe, I broke down the sales territories as follows, with the following managers:
Europe - John Doe
Northen Europe - Jason Smith
Southern Europe - Jos Luis
Eastern Europe - Petr Ivanovich
UK & Ireland - Alastair McEwan
With Dynamics CRM 4, it is not possible to create assign a parent sales territory to another sales territory. I can see how some companies would benefit from such functionality, since many tend to follow a similar structure.

Thank you for your suggestion. Hierarchical territories make perfect sense to map to real world scenario. We will consider this functionality for a future release. Best regards. This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.

In 2019 Release Wave 2, a hierarchical relationship was made available out of the box on the Territory entity.
