For digital gift cards - Customer is seeing that the Order Confirmation and Order Shipped email notifications are being sent in addition to the gift card email regardless of the modes of delivery configuration.
The expectation being that if they don’t have an item on the order with one of these modes of delivery that it wouldn’t send the confirmation/shipping notifications.

We are also noticing this issue when we try to send separate email notifications for shipping orders versus pick up orders that were placed online. The modes of delivery assigned to the email templates are not being honored. It still sends the customers all the emails. For example, a customer receives a shipping confirmation when their pick up order has been invoiced.
