Our customer would like to see a feature where the Default dimension values that are setup as Not Fixed against the Main Account is honored when posting intercompany journals.

In our customer's scenario, the intercompany account is setup as an example:

Legal entity override setup:

Intercompany account: 12345
Dimension 1; Blank not fixed
Dimension 2: Blank not fixed
Dimension 3: Blank not fixed
Dimension 4 - 12 - not fixed

The general journal contains multi line journals and the users split the lines for the Debit vs the Credit as the Credits need to post to the intercompany accounts setup.

When posting, because the default is set to Not fixed and there are blank dimensions, the system errors with:

You must select a value in the #### field in combination with the following dimension values that are valid.

The error is occurring because the dimension is updating with a blank value.

The behavior for the Not Fixed default dimension is also described in LCS link below:

We would like the system to work either:

1. The same way as when the offset value is in one line.

The system copies over the dimension values from the Main Account to the offset account.

2. Honor the default dimension value that is setup even though this is set to not fixed to prevent the error message during the posting process.
