Leads doesnt mean that its always donwn to "new contact". New leads can be created related to existing contacts (more leads tend to be this way) and related to one contact you can have many different leads depeding on business sector.
When working in Sales, it seems its very focussed on contact but this makes it hard to work with. When using activites and tasks related to leads then these tasks show relation to "contact" - if we have 20 different leads related to one contact (different potential sales projects what can be related to one contact person on customer side but are not yet opportunities) we just cant identify tasks or activities proprelry as we cant display "lead name/topic" within this function. So to find and open correct task we literally need to opern all related taks to this contact person and then we can see topic its related.... this is not efficient and we waste valuable time for very simple activity.
Proposal:
Instead of having leads as person/contact centrix. it would be nice if we can show lead name/topic field and account bedides contact also. This way we can open correct tasks and activities when working.
