I think all the main requirements could be fulfilled if CRM implemented the close opportunity form to be a customisable form of the opportunityclose entity, rather than a hard-coded form. This would allow custom fields of the opportunityclose entity to be added to the form, as well as changing labels. A similar approach to other hard-coded dialogs (e.g. incidentclose) would also be a great help

8 years this has been on the list. Wonder how many clients have left because of major oversights like this...

Hard to believe this STILL isn't available. Being able to add custom opp fields to that form (Margin for instance) is a HUGE miss. Surely there are plenty of other users out there that run business on margin AND revenue, not just revenue.

I agree. Being able to customise the terminology from 'Won' and 'Lost' would be good as this is not always appropriate for an xRM solution.

Thank you for writing back with details. We will consider this functionality for a future release.

Thanks - I'm talking about the "Close Opportunity" pop-up form. Open an oppty, click on Actions, click on Close Oppy. This pop-up form has required attributes. In 100% of my installs, the clients want to add, remove, or remove required formatting.

Hello,

Thanks for writing to us. MSCRM does not have a separate form for "Closed opportunity", so whatever attributes are their on the main form will be present on "closed opportunity" also. Please let us know if you are talking about some different form here.

Thanks and Regards.
