Currently users will get a notification on top 'The app is currently being updated with a newer version' and 'A new version of this app is available. Please refresh to update'. This message is often not seen by end-users which results in strange/unexpected behavior in the client. The back-end is updated in that case, but the front-end not yet. This could result in errors where a flow is for example triggered using PowerFX, but that flow is already removed of turned off by the update in the back-end. We also noticed some strange behavior in the ribbon button logic.

We have had contact with Premium support on this. But currently there is no way to determine this. 

We prefer to have an option to determine using javascript/xrm that there is a new version of the app available. We prefer to show a more prompting message to end-users in case there is a new version or maybe trigger the app refresh automatically (if possible).
