As Microsoft has made it posible to Migrate/Transfer one company from OnPrem to Cloud, Why are the risk bigger copying from Cloud to Cloud. The Migrate from OnPrem does not delete the source, so it can be done with proper "Prepare", "Testing", and "GoLive",

I see especially two Scenarious where it is required to Copy company specific data from one Cloud Environment to another:

1. One Invenstment company sells a Subsidiary to another investment company, where all activities in the Sub is taken over. Here you DO NOT WANT to migrate, but ONLY COPY that single company
2. One major company with multible Subsidiaries has used the same database for multiple countries, but wish to "Go Best practices" and have country specific databases. Again here a COPY feature is needed.

After an environment has been copied, it is up to an Administrative user to MANUALLY Delete the CopyFrom Company if required.

PS Microsoft should offer the same feature used when "Copying" from OnPrem to Cloud, as it is a bigger risk for a partner to create a bespoke solution. I is almost impossible / not possible to control all Subscribers, and as a Partner we also risk missing a transfer of a needed table if we try to implement a feature that through API can perform a "Copy" table by table from one environment to another.

This copy from OnPrem to Cloud copies only table and field data that exist in the target, and that is great, as this way it is possible to CleanUp data related to extensions, discontinued in the target database, but at the same time we/Microsoft are in control that data in Standard tables are consistent. As the suggestion is related to Cloud, It is OK that Versions are the same.

I have found these parallel Ideas, that could have been solved by above. Unfortunately they are not on the RoadMap by Microsoft, Even such a solution would save customers and arnters a lot of headache, and money.
