Request to have an ability to recalculate BOM level based on the formula master if there is a production order which includes a circularity BOM.

There is a case that the formula master does not include a circularity BOM but a circularity BOM happens while processing production orders.

In this case, the system recalculates BOM level based on the a production order which includes a circularity BOM. As a result, the system calculates the BOM level incorrectly and planned orders are generated incorrectly.

For the process industry, it is not a rare case that circularity BOM happens processing production orders.

We have made a mod for this at most process mfg clients to exclude ProdBOM from the re-calculation of BOM Levels.  The reason being they "work off" or blend off-grade material into good material, so the item being made has an ingredient that is the same item number.

Consider that you can exclude a Co-product from BOM-Level calculation by making it a By-Product in the formula. You do not have to change the Production type of the product, you can do this on the formula itself. Components that are By-Products are excluded from BOM-Level calculation.

Would that cover your requirement?
