We are using indirect cost components to make sure, that we add indirect costs as requested by law. Basically all the setup we have done for all companies in project is setup with project group as a key component for posting, prices, WIP setup, internal/external projects etc. However, “Project management and accounting”/”setup”/”Indirect cost”/"Indirect cost component group assignment rules” does not support "project groups" - it supports customer account, project contract id, category, resource and project id. So in order to make it work we will have a lot of extra setup/maintenance, get employees to use other categories when working on internal project, get project managers to remember to use special customer accounts or projects contract when working on internal or another work around. The request is just to get project group in the setup, in order to keep setup and use as easy as possible.
