On the list views, it would be great, having the opportunity to filter for records where a specific field is empty.

The Workaround that you propose (creating additional views filtering ‘Contains data’ and ‘Contains no data’)
is not acceptable for the day to day business, because this will oblige our users to create at least 2 views (or more) for every field they use!
This a big loss of standard functionalities.
We really need a correction as soon as possible
