There is a bug in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Maybe you can help remove the bug.


Bug identifier....it deletes all "Incoming Document Files"

  • Go to Journals
  • Go to General Journals
  • Select a line to create a General Journal
  • Complete a General Journal
  • Go to "Incoming Document Files"
  • Attach a File (from any source, PDF, Excel, etc.)
  • Go to Actions
  • Go to Request Approval
  • Go to Send Approval Request
  • Got to Journal Batch
  • Click okay when prompted


Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central will delete all attachments from the Incoming Document Files list after you leave the screen once you have attached the files. This is a bug. The files should not be deleted.


You have to go back into the General Journal to attach the files again, so they stay attached to the General Journal for supporting documentation.


I hope someone can review this and agree that this should not be happening. Hopefully someone can change the system.
