In summary, Using legacy MRP engine, partners were able to call custom quantity/ planning logic after the MRP calc was done but the new planning optimization lacks event handlers to call the post calculation logic from the async process.

Typically any extension needs to MRP are done using secondary classes which would be daisy chained to run after the standard MRP calc has finished either in the nightly batch job, incremental or net requirement update. While this approach can still be used in a recurring batch job with optimized planning, the ability to do this from net requirement updates is not possible.

The request/Idea is to add post calculation event handler(s) so that when the planning optimization has completed the system can then call additional secondary logic specific to the ISV or customers business requirements that might required.
