In the Electronic Reporting (ER) Model Designer within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, navigating complex models with deeply nested nodes can be time-consuming and inefficient, as users must manually expand each node one by one. This becomes particularly challenging in large configurations such as payment formats, tax reports, or integrations, where understanding the full structure quickly is critical for troubleshooting and validation.

It would be highly beneficial to introduce a simple “Expand All / Collapse All” toggle button that allows users to instantly expand or collapse the entire model tree (or optionally a selected branch). This small enhancement would significantly improve navigation speed, visibility of the model structure, and overall productivity—reducing effort, minimizing errors, and making the ER designer experience much more efficient.
