When having a location setup with directed put-away and pick and then adding warehouse class codes to be able to handle for example frozen or refrigerated items you need to set up receiving bins and shipping bins with those corresponding warehouse class codes.

The annoying situation occurs when create a warehouse receipt or warehouse shipment. Then I get a message that says the following:


“One or more lines of this warehouse receipt/shipment header require special warehouse handling. The bin code for such lines has been set to blank”


Then I manually must set the bin code on the warehouse receipt/shipment line to a receipt/shipment bin with the right warehouse class code.


My suggestions here is, when creating warehouse receipts/shipments, if there are receipt/shipment bins with the same warehouse class code as the item(s) I want to receive/ship, then set the bin code to that value on the warehouse receipt/shipment line and leave it blank if no receipt/shipment bin with the right warehouse class code is found.
