When setting up DDMRP with Planning Optimization we have the following challenge:

Currently the average daily usage (ADU) calculation based on past, requires historic transactions (InventTrans) for several days, but by the time we go live this history will not be available.  So, until historic transactions are created the ADU must be manually calculated outside D365 and imported. This is a cumbersome process where historic data must be constantly updated, calculated, and imported in a daily basis.

On the other hand, if D365 would have an entity where history can be loaded, and the ADU calculated using the entity as well as the transaction table, all the manual process can be avoided.
