Another improvement from testing agents in BC preview:


Right now, agents respond well, but they lack control over navigation and data lookup inside Business Central.


Suggestion:

Introduce structured instruction keywords/actions such as:

  • Open page / Close page
  • Navigate to record
  • Click action/button
  • Lookup records using filters (e.g., Customer where Balance > X)


Why this matters:

  • Lets agents interact with BC like a real user workflow
  • Reduces manual navigation and clicking
  • Enables precise, data-driven actions instead of generic responses


Example:

User asks for overdue invoices → agent filters Customer Ledger Entries → opens relevant records → triggers follow-up action
