It would be highly beneficial if Microsoft could extend native Hardware Station compatibility in Dynamics 365 Commerce to support macOS environments. Many customers operate entirely within the Apple ecosystem and are not willing to adopt Windows devices solely for POS hardware integration.
Our customer operates across 17 countries in Spain, CEE, and the MENA region, where Apple devices are widely used in retail stores. While iOS devices are partially supported today, native Hardware Station functionality is still not available on macOS.
There is a strong business requirement to support retail peripherals such as receipt printers, A4 printers, barcode scanners, cash drawers, and EFT/payment terminals directly through macOS devices and Safari/browser-based Store Commerce deployments.
Providing native macOS Hardware Station support would significantly improve operational flexibility, reduce dependency on Windows infrastructure, and enhance adoption of Dynamics 365 Store Commerce within Apple-based retail environments.
