The Sales Order list page in D365 Finance currently does not include a preview pane (FactBox) to show key order details when a user selects a record. This functionality existed in AX2012 and was extremely useful for quick triage, customer queries, and day-to-day navigation without needing to open each Sales Order individually.

Reintroducing a preview pane on the list page would:

• Reduce clicks and increase productivity for sales, customer service, and finance teams
• Improve user experience in high-volume environments
• Align D365 with other areas of the product where FactBoxes are already standard
• Restore functionality previously available in AX2012, helping long-time users transition more smoothly

This would be a lightweight but high-impact enhancement to a heavily used form.

A native toggle or standard FactBox implementation would remove the need for custom development and benefit all organisations using D365 F&O.
