Today there is no data entity available to import Product configuration models.
There is a way to import/export Product configuration models using XML file but this can't be used to perform real bulk import or data migration.
We need a way to import Product configuration models using XLS or CSV files

The Import XML standard functionality is available so Microsoft should provide some tool or mechanism for creating XML file which can be imported using Import XML Standard functionality in Product Configuration Model.

I would second this idea as there is a dire necessity to import the data in bulk by the users (in D365 F&O implementations).

Yes, I agree, it is really a cumbersome task to update the data manually particularly when the business has huge volume of data.
