Issue Context:
Customers expressed concerns about the lack of control over app updates in Unified Data Environment (UDE) environments. Specifically, they highlighted the need for a mechanism to schedule updates rather than having them applied automatically by Microsoft.
Operational Impact:
- Limits customer control over update timing.
- Can disrupt production environments if updates occur during critical operational windows.
- Reduces flexibility in planning and testing updates before deployment.
Key Findings:
- Currently, some updates in UDE environments are managed by Microsoft.
- Customers have no native option to schedule or defer updates.
- This limitation affects the ability to align updates with internal change management processes.
Expected Outcome:
We kindly request the following enhancements:
- Introduce a scheduling feature for app updates in UDE environments.
- Allow customers to define maintenance windows or defer updates within a configurable timeframe.
- Provide visibility into upcoming updates and their impact scope.
These improvements would significantly enhance operational control and reduce disruption risks for customers using UDE environments.
