When we retire a product, something it could be a mistake or something cahnge and you need to reactivate. IT's not possible in the moment. I think it's easy to achive that it's a DATABASE.
Otherwise we need to recreate the product with different part number and make a equivalent. It could be really more easier to just be able to reactivate it.
