When attempting to connect a user profile with a LinkedIn ad campaign account, Dynamics Marketing will fail to find an account in the authorization procedure if the only ad campaign account had been set up previously with an email address associated with the LinkedIn account but not the email address that is being used in the user profile.

This issue was resolved with the help of partner presales and technical support but it took more than 20 hours work by the Microsoft partner reviewing sales navigator settings, Sales Marketing settings, and knowledge of the LinkedIn personal account to identify the issue.

The fix to the problem was to create a new LinkedIn Campaign account using the same email address as the one used in the Marketing profile and re-authorizing. (Both email addresses were associated with the LinkedIn account during the investigation. The email address being used in the Dynamics profile was the primary Linked In email address through the investigation.
