Manager passwords are used to authenticate POS Logon operation. This become a very old fashioned as passwords are simply like "PASS WORD".
Retail Management Require the Biometric scanning based logon provision for users, Rather than user id password.
AX 2012 R3 got some set of functions for this and D365 Its fully disappearing
The extended logon functionality should be provisioned for Bio Metric logon as well.
