Previously, partners were allowed to use their partner GDAP access to pull from a customers Business Central API's, this made everything extremely easy and secure when assisting customers with building Excel based reporting. Now that access has been blocked, leaving the only two options to assist customer with reporting is the time consuming option do it on a call with the customer using their account, or create our own account AND LICENSE it in every customers tenant. Then sharing that credential with everyone that needs to do reports, which not only takes a huge step back in security, but also raises a lot of questions when being implemented.
I understand not wanting partners utilizing API's without consent for business central, but why can the solution not be to implement a separate GDAP role for BC API access, allowing the customer to consent, and the partner can assign who should actually have access to the API permissions on a customer by customer basis?
