Hello,

We recently upgraded to version 16 and noticed some changes in “copy item” functionality. However, we miss a functionality that we believe that could be interesting to BC community.

Our users would seldom change copy item parameters (different options to copy), so they will expect to be asked once and then use the same configuration for the rest of times that copy item action is invoked. It would be great to have the possibility to populate copy item buffer by code (copy parameters) without showing intermediate copy item window, and then invoke directly copy command.

Up to version 15, a report was shown, and the user had the option to remember last used parameters. Now that a page is used, this remembering option is no longer available (is it?), and we would like to avoid showing the window whenever an item wants to be copied.

We believe that current BC code is almost ready to allow this but does not offer a public copy item procedure that receives copy item buffer as input parameter, or any other integration strategies to be able to avoid showing the page but populating copy item buffer with desired values.
