Sales Force Automation Error
This lead is closed. You cannot convert or disqualify a lead that is already closed.

1. There are two ways to open the Convert Lead Dialog; from an open Lead record or from the Leads grid. We will open the Convert Lead Dialog from the Leads grid this time. Select one of the Leads you created and click on Qualify.



2. The Convert Lead dialog will appear. Click on Disqualify and select a reason for the disqualification from the Status drop-down as shown on the figure below.



3. Click OK, Microsoft CRM will move the Lead to the Closed Leads list.

4. Click on Leads drop-down and select Closed Leads to see all of the closed Leads, including the one you just disqualified.



5. The lead you just disqualified will be on this list.



6. Click on the Leads drop-down and select My Open Leads. All of your open Leads will be on this list (if you have any).


7. We will open the Convert Lead Dialog from an open Lead record this time. Click the name of the Lead you want to disqualify as shown below.



8. The Lead record will open. Click on the Qualify button as shown below


9. The Convert Lead Dialog will appear. Click on Disqualify and select a reason for the disqualification from the Status drop-down.

10. Click OK to complete the Lead disqualification.

11. Disqualify two more Leads using your preferred method (be sure to select different Status for each).
Exercise 3 - Qualifying Leads

1. Select the Lead you would like to Qualify and click on Qualify.

2. Because the Lead you are qualifying is a person, you will qualify this Lead as Contact. Select Contact (Potential Customer field is disabled) and then click OK.

3. Microsoft CRM will convert the Lead to a Contact by removing it from the active Lead records and adding it to the active Contact records. To see the Contact you just created, Click on the Contacts button from the left navigation and our new Contact will be in this grid as shown below.
