In Business Central for the Vendor name, Street Addresses and State fields your allowed to enter character lengths greater than the allow IRS 1099 Magnetic Media file limit. For Vendor name and Street Address the IRS limit is 40 characters and State is 2 characters. Currently, during the Magnetic Media export process for all fields above the limit this results in that field displaying the asterisk key,*. Business Central should still allow the additional characters but the Magnetic Media export process should truncate the field length to the IRS required limit so data can be displayed and the output functional for IRS e-filing use.
