By enabling the assignment of a project resource request approval to a managerial hierarchy, starting from the project resource that is to be booked, organisations can align the system to the way they operate with multiple resource managers, each controlling only the resources that report to them. In some cases the resource manager may be further up the managerial hierarchy, so the ideal solution would be to have the ability to designate per position, whether the occupant of the position has resource approval authority for resources reporting up to them.
