Hello,
We are implementing D365FO for clients in France and we have encountered a strange anomaly.
For the record, users are on Windows in French version, and every other Office application also.
When opening data from AX with the Excel add-in, dates are not displayed correctly in French format.
Let me take an example with the “Sales order headers V2” data entity :
- By default, the dates from any date column are displayed in the following format : “yyyy-04-dd”.
- As soon as we double click on the cell, the date is displayed in the correct French format : “11/04/2018”.
What we tried :
- If we change the column format, dates are displayed correctly. Nevertheless, as soon as we refresh the data, Excel will redisplay the dates in initial faulty format “yyyy-(month value)-dd”.
A case was opened at Microsoft, and the engineer confirmed that we cannot really do anything, except changing the computers regional settings FR => US.
I won’t explain why this is not possible, I think it is clear for every non English Microsoft user. And we cannot really explain this to our French users.
In my opinion, this is clearly an Excel add-in bug that should be taken in consideration as soon as possible.
Please don’t hesitate to ask for additional information.
Thank you.
Kind regards,
Saso
