Guest User - Teams Integration

Tenant A = Holding - BC environment

Tenant B = Company 1


User from tenant B is a guest user in tenant A and access the BC environment in tenant A.


In case of teams integration

Clicking the details link on any Business Central card will attempt to sign you into whatever environment that card was shared from (as you can see this worked), assuming the user has permissions. -> This works.

 

However, using the contact search is bound to your own tenant - we do not currently support the delegated scenario here.”


It would be fantastic if this could be configured, so that it could be configured, which enviroment to access in the contact search.

Thank you for your feedback. Currently this is not in our roadmap; however, we are tracking it and if we get more feedback and votes, we may consider it in the future.


For clarity, today you can choose and switch environments using the Settings menu for the Contact Search messaging extension directly in Teams. However, the choice of environments are limited to environments of your current Azure AD tenant.
